Explore Asia with Deutsche Bank

Asia is home to some of the world's fastest growing economies and Deutsche Bank's presence inthe region continues to grow. With ambitious plans for the future, we're giving more graduates theopportunity to work internationally.


We're hosting Explore Asia with Deutsche Bank events in Australia to showcase the opportunities wehave to offer within our Corporate and Investment Bank division. The events will provide a fantasticopportunity for a select group of students to network with our business representatives from HongKong and Singapore, and to find out what a career in Asia is all about.

The Finance and Banking Society of the University of Sydney is proud to present Mr. Robert Rankin (BEc 1986, LLB 1988), Deutsche Bank’s Chief Executive Officer for Asia-Pacific (ex. Japan), in an exclusive seminar on Tuesday, 4 October 2011.

Mr. Rankin will be drawing on his experience as a senior banker in Asia Pacific and a member of Deutsche Bank’s global leadership team, to discuss the shift in economic power to Asia, the development of Asia’s capital markets, implications for Australia and the current global economic outlook.

As Chief Executive Officer in Asia Pacific (ex-Japan), Mr Rankin is responsible for Deutsche Bank's management and strategic development in the region. He is also a member of Deutsche Bank's Group Executive Committee since January 2011.

Mr. Rankin joined Deutsche Bank in June 2009. He was previously a Managing Director and the Head of Investment Banking, Asia Pacific, at UBS where he had responsibility for the corporate/government advisory, debt and equity origination and M&A businesses in the region. Mr Rankin is an alumnus of the University of Sydney, holding a Bachelors degree in Economics and Law.
