CFA Ethics Panel at ANU 11th October
In conjunction with the ANU School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Applied Statistic, FINSOC would like to invite you to attend the CFA Ethics Panel Discussion at 3pm Tuesday 11th of October in Manning Clarke Centre Theatre 3. We have a highly professional panel with significant industry experience, which presents a rare opportunity for you to voice your queries and receive answers from the following industry experts:

The goal of the panel is to increase awareness among students of both the importance of ethics in the functioning of financial markets as well as the challenges faced by market participants. The discussion focuses mainly around issues relating to general market integrity and the ethical implications of duties to clients, including: 1) dealing with clients, 2) investment expertise, 3) investment products, benchmarks and fees, and more. CFA ANU Presentation
Dr. Ashvin Vibhakar, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Operations for CFA Institute, will be giving a presentation regarding the new partnership with ANU on 27th of May at 1pm in the Copland Lecture Theatre.
The presentation will be regarding the new CFA-ANU partnership, new recognition of the courses taken up by Bachelor of Finance students in the CFA program and information of CFA. More details will be posted up as the presentation date draws closer.
For students interested in pursuing a career in the financial field or becoming a member of the CFA institute, a lunch will be held before the presentation at 11am (Final details will be sent along with invitation). A number of students will get the chance to join VIPs, such as the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Young, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Lawrence Cram, Dean of ANU College of Business and Economics Professor Jayne Godfrey, Deputy Dean of ANU College of Business and Economics Associate Professor Alex Clarke, Head of schools and a few external guests in this formal lunch with plenty of opportunities to network. The Bloomberg Assessment at ANU
The Bloomberg Assessment (BAT) examination is a global online exam developed by the credited Bloomberg Institute in partnership with premier financial institutions and universities from around the world, aimed to test individual ability to make judgment based on knowledge of the economy, as well as people skills; key factors firms look for in potential employees.

Goldman Sachs ANU Careers Presentation and Networking Session
Goldman Sachs will be holding a careers presentation and networking session at ANU on the 7th of March for students who are keen to learn more about the firm. This event will prove invaluable to those who wish to gain an additional insight into the diverse career options available at one of the world's leading financial institutions. The careers presentation will be held at Melville Hall from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a networking and BBQ session at the Copland BBQ area from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Macquarie Group ANU Careers Presentation and Networking Session
The Finance and Banking Society (ANU Branch) and the ANU Careers Centre are proud to co-host a careers presentation by Macquarie Group on Thursday 3rd March. This presentation is aimed at introducing the variety of career paths available at Macquarie Group and ultimately assists students to make informed decisions in their career choice. Also, the presentation will be preceded by a BBQ and networking session for students who are keen to learn in more detail what encapsulates a career at Macquarie Group.
